Water Resilience

Purpose overview
Many regions are experiencing increasing water stress due to erratic rainfall patterns, over-extraction of groundwater, and degradation of natural water systems. The decline in the health of local water bodies and their catchments has led to reduced water availability, poor water quality, and diminished ecosystem services. These challenges are further compounded by limited community awareness and fragmented governance structures, which hinder sustainable water management.

There is an urgent need to restore the ecological balance of water systems through integrated, community-led approaches that enhance natural recharge, improve water retention, and promote responsible usage. Strengthening local capacities, fostering behavioral change, and mobilizing collective action are essential to build long-term water resilience and climate adaptability at the grassroots level.

We are seeking proposals from eligible NGOs and non-profits with proven experience in water resource management and ecosystem restoration to undertake comprehensive water resilience projects.

Proposals should clearly outline the organization’s approach, technical capacity, implementation strategy, expected impact, and sustainability plan. Preference will be given to projects that demonstrate community involvement, scalability, and measurable outcomes.

Interested organizations are invited to submit their detailed proposals.
